Tom Eslinger is a world-renowned and internationally awarded creative director. In his role as Global Chief Creative Officer at BCW (formerly Burson-Marsteller), he is responsible for the integration of creative, digital, strategy and analytics to create world-class integrated ideas for the firm’s clients for application across traditional, digital and mobile channels.
Before joining Burson-Marsteller, Tom was consulting Executive Creative Director for visual effects and virtual reality firm Framestore’s integrated advertising efforts including Coca-Cola, Sotherby’s and Hudson Yards. Before that, Tom spent 13 years in the Saatchi & Saatchi network, eight of which as Worldwide Digital Creative Director. In that role, he led digital creative direction and strategy on global new business and client initiatives, identified creative production partnerships and talent recruitment, and led cross-network partnerships via the Publicis Groupe.
Awards and Recognitions
Over 20 years as a digital and mobile creative creator and innovator, Tom has won 69 Cannes Lions and over 250 international awards across multiple categories and competitions including the Effies, Type Directors Club, D&AD, One Show and The FWA. He has served on five Cannes Lions juries, including the 2002 Cyber jury; the 2005 Cyber Jury, for which he was president; the 2006 Titanium, 2012 Mobile, where he served as the first jury president for the mobile category; and the 2015 Creative Data and Innovation jury.
Speaking and Thought Leadership
Tom has spoken as keynote and/or panelist at CES, Cannes Lions, AppsWorld, Mobile World Congress, OneShow China, AdFest Asia and numerous mobile, digital and innovation conferences. His book, Mobile Magic: The Saatchi & Saatchi Guide to Mobile Marketing (Wiley, February 2014), is a resource for brand marketers focusing on the strategic opportunities and practical implications of mobile marketing. Tom’s creative work is part of the permanent design collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC.
