Jaime (pronounced as "Hai-me") has worked in the mobile space for the last 15 years, bearing first hand witness to the evolution of the mobile landscape in Asia. His first taste of commercial success was with a Singapore/Philippine startup called Wireless Services Asia, which launched the first telco grade ringingtone and wallpaper services for the early mobile devices of 1999. After seeing the early potential of these portable devices, he became a strong believer and visionary of delivering entertainment services “on-the-go”. He then asumed the position of Asia General Manager for a pioneering mobile game company from France called In-Fusio, which was already implementing ideas like in-app purchases, friend invites and social leaderboards way before any smartphones were invented.
He continued on to be Head of Sales and Marketing for EA Mobile in South East Asia during the peak of the J2ME gaming era, then moved on to head the APAC mobile division of Friendster where he brought the social networking experience to the masses through the mobile browsers of low-end feature phones. Enter the smartphone era, Jaime was then hired as one of the first employees of the DeNA Singapore office where he was the Director for Business Development and a key contributor to the international growth of the Japanese social gaming giant. In continuing his pursuit to work with market leaders and companies that are poised to make an impact in the mobile space, Jaime recently joins Kochava as their General Manager in Singapore to run its operations for the Asia Pacific region.
His long experience in this space has taught him that a smart mobile strategy is only one-half based on content. The other equally important half depends on the deep and regular analysis of performance data and user behaviour, and using such data to constantly adjust and optimize the product to hit desired KPIs of the service. Such data-driven executions can succeed by using only the best analytics and data management tools in the market. Through Kochava’s industry leading mobile measurement platform, Jaime continues to be a strong advocate for winning formulas and smart strategies in today’s mobile environment. Jaime hails from the Phililppines with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering.
